License Requirements for Publishing with File Synchronization in Windchill 11.1
To integrate CAD applications with Windchill, a user must be entitled to a valid license of a Windchill License Profile group. Each authoring application has its own license profile requirements, for instance, for a Creo user needs a PTC PDMLink Module license, or a PTC ProjectLink Module license, or a PTC Author License and PTC Mechanical Design I license. A user can connect to Windchill through WWGM with a registered CAD application with a valid Windchill license at the appropriate level.
Licensing for File Synchronization
File synchronization enabled CAD Workers requires two license configurations:
• The authoring application license required to use the application
• A Windchill user account with a valid Windchill license in order to integrate Windchill Workgroup Manager or Creo Parametric.
To add a user to a license profile, follow these steps:
1. Go to > .
2. Select the
information page of the license profile you want to add a user to.
3. Select a license profile group from the Profile Members.
4. Under Actions, select Edit Group, and then add the user to the group.
