The PTC RV&S client and Web GUI can render the string attribute of a generic change package field as a clickable link. The link is active only if the entire data in the string field is a valid URL pattern (for example, HTTP, HTTPS, or FTP).
However, the PTC RV&S client and the Web GUI render the change package field attribute as a plain string only and not as a clickable link under the following conditions:
The string attribute value contains any unsupported character for the URL.
The string attribute value contains multiple URLs for a single field.
The string attribute value contains characters or words in addition to the URL.
Integrity clients older than 10.9 render the attribute of a generic change package field with type string as a plain string irrespective of whether the string data represents a valid URL or not.
