Considerations When Applying the Proxy Server, Client, or Agent CPS or HotFixes
Consider the following when applying proxy server, client, and agent CPSs’ or HotFixes:
• Proxy server maintains a local copy of the client-side CPS or HotFix file once a client connects through it to the main server. If the proxy server fails to cache the CPS or Hotfix file after repeated attempts due to interrupted client connection, re-connect, or restart the client. In case the CPS or Hotfix file download failures are observed consistently for a given client, try connecting to the proxy server using another client which does not have the specific CPS or Hotfix installed on it and which has a good network bandwidth.
• Incomplete copies of the CPS or HotFix files, the ones which are not matching with the file size and checksum of the CPS or HotFix files on the main server, are deleted. This happens after all the download attempts are used.
• Make sure sufficient disk space is available on the proxy server, client, or agent installation directory and on the corresponding CPS or HotFix download directory. Also, ensure that the directories have write permissions enabled.
• Refer to the IntegrityClient.log file in the client installation directory, or the server.log file on proxy server, or the agent.log file in the agent installation directory for errors related to the CPS or HotFix files not getting downloaded completely after multiple attempts.
