Configuration Management Policy Options
This section details the policy configuration options for configuration management. Policies are configured through the PTC RV&S Administration Client; therefore, you must first install the PTC RV&S Administration Client to configure policies on the server.
By modifying policy options on the PTC RV&S server, you can configure the functionality of configuration management across an entire site and for specified individual projects.
The PTC RV&S Administration Client provides a policy editor for editing, creating, copying, viewing, and deleting configuration management policies. Editing global policies affects the operation of configuration management on a site-wide basis, while creating a new project policy section allows you to customize the behavior of configuration management for the project you specify.

Project policies set by you for a specific project override the policy settings that apply globally.
