To Set Up the PTC RV&S Client So Users Can Install It From a Shared Network Location
1. Copy, as appropriate for your platform, mksclient.exe or mksclient.bin, which is located on the PTC RV&S DVD in the platform-specific /installs/client directory.
2. Make sure all users have appropriate access to the network directory where the file resides.
3. Notify users about where to find the PTC RV&S client executable program and the PTC RV&S server name(s) and port number(s) they need to connect to.

For shared client installs, the installdir/bin directory must be writable for all users so that the IntegrityClient.log file can be created correctly.
As a best practice, set the property logFileName=./IntegrityClient.log in the installdir/IntegrityClient.rc file. This creates an IntegrityClient.log file in each users' instance directory. For example, d:/Users/<user_name>/IntegrityClient.log.
