You can copy permissions model across different lines of development. The Source of this operation can either be a mainline or a valid development path for the selected project. The target for this operation is always another development path for the same project. This target is called the Target Development Path.

The Conflict Resolution Strategy allows you to take appropriate action when a conflict occurs while copying permissions. For example, if some permissions exist on the target project, you can decide to mark the entire copy permissions operation as a failure, or continue to overwrite the existing permissions on the Target Development Path with the permissions from the Source project.
