Working with Test Cases
In the Refreshed Web Interface, you can add the test cases and test suites to a new test item or to an existing test item from the following:
In DocStudio view mode of a test item, using the Add to > Test Item option. You can also add test cases present in a test group.
In the Item View, from the Tests field and the Test Results tab of a test item.
In the Item View, from the Untested test cases window launched from the vertical ellipsis .

In DocStudio, the Add to > Test Item option and in the Item View and the Untested test cases window, the icon is available for selection only for item types that are a part of the test management process assigned with the role of Test Case or Test Suite. For more details on setting the test management role, see To set test management roles for types in the GUI
Key considerations
While adding test cases to a new test item and to an existing test item using the Create New and Add to Existing options, the Item Type list will only display the allowed types and the query results displayed in the Select Item table will only display items of the allowed types.
In both the above cases, you can add the existing test cases to the allowed types and to the items of the allowed types fulfilling the following conditions:
Item types assigned with Test Session role or defined with the property MKS.RQ.SessionsRelationshipField in the test management process.
Item types that are of the allowed types under the Tests for field of the selected test case.
