Adding an Existing Parameter
You can add existing parameters while creating or editing an item, or while creating a related item in Item View and in DocStudio.
1. Open the item in the Item View or in DocStudio.
2. Click Edit.
To add an existing parameter in the Item View:
◦ In the Item Edit view, navigate to the tab that contains the Parameter field and click
in the Parameters table.
TheAdd - Parameterwindow opens.
To add an existing parameter in DocStudio:
◦ In the DocStudio edit mode, navigate to the Parameters field and click in the Parameters table.
If there are no previously added parameters, theAdd - Parameterwindow opens.
If there are existing parameters, theEdit - Parameterswindow opens.
◦ Click

TheAdd - Parameterwindow opens.
3. Select Existing.
This option is selected by default.
A list of parameters from the top-level hierarchy and those that are defined in the current item are listed.

4. Select the parameters to be added and click Add.

The selected parameters are added to the Parameters table and become a part of the item being edited. The Defined In column of the Parameters table displays the ID of the item in which the parameter is defined.
