Release Highlights: Windchill RV&S 13.2.0.0
The Windchill RV&S 13.2.0.0 release provides many major enhancements in each of the following functional areas:
Refreshed Web Interface
Major enhancements
Home Page Enhancements
Ability to switch between list view and grid view.
Ability to drag items between tables or within the same tables for creating relationships and traces.
Introduction of keyboard shortcuts for the Home Page.
Introduction of a new menu to show logged-in user information and change the selected language.
DocStudio Enhancements
Ability to create related content and process items.
Ability to add a document into another document.
Quickly include or insert a document into another document.
A split-screen view that allows exploring the destination document and adding the original document at an appropriate location in the destination document.
Ability to copy or move content items from one document into another document.
Quickly copy or move content items from one document to another document.
A split-screen view that allows exploring the destination document and copying or moving the content items at an appropriate location in the destination document.
Ability to copy nodes with Author as a reference mode.
Ability to copy test steps while creating a new version of the document or content.
Item View Enhancements
Introduction of a split-screen view while creating a related item in the item edit mode and the ability to drag-and-drop fields such as texts, relationships, attachments, and parameters.
Ability to export data in tables such as Relationships, Parameters, Custom Fields, OSLC Links, Test Results, Attachments, Source, and QBR fields to Microsoft Excel(.xlsx).
Test Management Enhancements
Introduction of the Test Result Editor for tracking and executing test cases.
Ability to mark test case results.
Creating and adding related items to test case results.
Attaching files to test case results.
Filtering test cases based on a specific requirement such as number of test cases with verdict passed, failed, or incomplete.
Ability to add existing test cases to new or existing test sessions.
Ability to change the tests As of Date in a test session. The Test Result Editor displays test cases present in the test session as of the set date.
Introduction of the “Pick up from where you left” feature which lets you navigate to the same location you were in when you exited the Test Result Editor.
Ability to set the view of the Test Result Editor to compact or expanded and customize the layout of the Test Results tab in the Test Result Editor.
General Enhancements
Support for electronic signatures.
Introduction of a mini-information window to quickly provide information on an item without opening an item.
Support for displaying the server alert set by the administrator in the Refreshed Web Interface.
Ability to invoke custom actions in the Refreshed Web Interface on supported Microsoft Windows platforms.
Ability to use the default queries configured by the administrators when adding existing items in a relationship from the Item View or DocStudio. The default query is always at the top in the query search list.
Ability to filter blank and non-blank values for tabular columns containing numeric and textual fields.
Ability to filter active and inactive users for tabular columns containing user type fields. This feature is not available in DocStudio.
Ability to create a related item for multiple items from Home Page, Item view, and Relationship Viewer.
Ability to create a copy of an item from Home Page, Item view, and Relationship Viewer. This also includes the ability to copy relevant fields along with their values into the new item.
Ability to view items details and server information on hovering over the browser tabs.
Support for attaching photos and videos using the iPad Pro camera.
Ability to save the custom column configuration for up to seven item types while configuring columns in the Relationship Viewer.
Ability to retain the tree structure hierarchy of data in the Relationship Viewer when exported to Microsoft Excel.

Introduction of a None option for the Rich Text Editor toolbar mode in the Windchill RV&S client GUI.

Mapped Names Enhancements
Enhancement to the naming convention of admin object identifiers from older T, F, and S to unique logical names (mapped names). Logical mapped names help the administrator identify admin objects. For example, when integrating the solution with ThingWorx Flow or OSLC.
Capability to define, edit, create, and delete mapped names via CLI and API.
Capability to export and import admin objects mapped names using an XML file.
Introduction of a new option for the im ci CLI command to copy test steps while creating a new version of the item.
Introduction of an mksis.im.additionalAllowedAttachmentExtensions server property to support file extensions for attachments in addition to the default extensions. This property helps secure your environment by allowing you to attach only those files the extensions of which have been pre-defined in the property.
