ViewSet Types and Locations
To administer ViewSets, it is important to understand the types of ViewSets and where they are located.
There are three types of ViewSet: personal, unpublished, and published. A ViewSet changes type based on the operation performed in the ViewSets view. The following table describes each type of ViewSet:

ViewSets stored on (and available to) the Windchill RV&S Client installed on the same machine a Windchill RV&S administration client you are viewing the ViewSets view from.
Personal ViewSets are only displayed in the ViewSets view for the purpose of converting to unpublished ViewSets.

Unpublished

Windchill RV&S administration client
|
ViewSets modified through the Windchill RV&S Client for the purpose of publishing to the Windchill RV&S server. These ViewSets have not yet been published (or have not been published since they were last fetched or edited).
Created when a personal ViewSet is edited or copied from the ViewSets view. Also created when a published ViewSet is edited, copied, or fetched.
