Editing the Document Structure
The OUTLINE pane of a document provides a structured view of the document. Each section in the OUTLINE pane corresponds to a row on the content pane. Using the OUTLINE pane, you can insert or delete sections to build upon the existing document structure. You can also move and copy sections within the same document.
Inserting a New Content Section
Perform the following tasks to insert a new content section in a document:
1. From the Items view in the existing Web UI, select the document to be edited and click Open in DocStudio.
2. Click Edit. The Insert Content and Delete Content options appear on the DocStudio toolbar.
3. To insert a new content section in a blank document, click Insert Content and save the changes. The first content section is inserted in the document.
4. To insert a new content section in the existing document, select an existing content section under which you want the new section and click Insert Content and save the changes.

In an existing document, if no section is selected before inserting content, then the content is inserted in the first row of the document.
5. Click Save.
A new content section is created at the required location in the document.
If the Auto Apply option is enabled, changes are automatically applied when you insert a new row and click any other row within the content pane. Similarly, changes are also applied when you edit any field in the newly inserted row and click any other row within the content pane. The Auto Apply option is not applicable if the inserted row is the only row in the content pane.
Deleting a Content Section
Perform the following tasks to delete a content section from the document:
1. From the Items view in the existing Web UI, select the document to be edited and click Open in DocStudio.
2. Click Edit.
The Insert Content and Delete Content options appear on the DocStudio toolbar.
3. Select the content section to be deleted and click Delete Content.
4. Click OK in the confirmation window that appears. The selected section and its subsections are deleted.
If the Auto Apply option is enabled, and you delete a row, the changes are automatically applied when you click OK in the warning message that appears. No changes are applied if you click Cancel in the warning message.
Moving a Content Section within the Document
Perform the following tasks to move a content section in the document:
1. From the Items view in the existing Web UI, select the document to be edited and click Open in DocStudio.
2. Click Edit.
3. Click the Hamburger icon to the left of the content section and perform one of the following actions:
Drag the content section above the target section.
Drag the content section below the target section.
Drag the content section to the right of the target section to add the content as a subsection.
The Move or Copy Section window opens.
4. Click Move and then click Proceed.
5. Click Save.
If the Auto Apply option is enabled, and you move a content section, the changes are automatically applied when you click Proceed in the Move or Copy Section window.
Copying a Content Section within the Document
Perform the following tasks to copy a content section in the document:
1. From the Items view in the existing Web UI, select the document to be edited and click Open in DocStudio.
2. Click Edit.
3. Click the Hamburger icon to the left of the content section and perform one of the following actions:
Drag the content section above the target section.
Drag the content section below the target section.
Drag the content section to the right of the target section to add the content as a subsection.
The Move or Copy Section window opens.
4. Click Copy.
Additional options to Reuse or Share copied content appear. The Reuse option is selected by default.
5. Select the required copy option and click Proceed.
6. Click Save.

On clicking Save after the copy operation, the page gets reloaded. The newly copied sections are not highlighted after reloading.
If the Auto Apply option is enabled and you copy a content section, the changes are automatically applied after you click Proceed in the Move or Copy Section window.
Alternatively, you can also move or copy the content sections using Move/Copy in the DocStudio toolbar. To move or copy content sections using Move/Copy:
1. Open the item in DocStudio and click Edit.
2. Select the content section in the OUTLINE or the Content pane that you want to move or copy and click Move/Copy. The Copy or Move Item window opens. The window contains the options to reposition the content.
3. Select Copy or Move depending upon your requirement.
4. If you are copying the item you need to select additional options to paste the content’s reference mode as Reuse or Share.
5. Click Above, Below, or As Sub-section to specify the placement of the selected content.
6. In the Enter Section field, type the section ID of the target content below or above which you need to copy or move the selected section.
7. Click Proceed. Depending on your selection, the selected content is copied or moved above or below the specified target content. The newly copied or moved content is highlighted.

You cannot move or copy included or inserted nodes.
If the Auto Apply option is enabled and you click Move/Copy to move or copy the content sections, the changes are automatically applied when you click Proceed in the Copy or Move Item window.
