To distribute service packs to the Windchill RV&S client
1. Under the mks:patch ACL, ensure the Download permission is allowed for all users who are receiving the service pack.
The Download permission is allowed for the everyone group by default; therefore, if the default settings have been maintained, no changes are required for the mks:patch ACL.
2. Place the service pack ZIP file in the required directory on the Windchill RV&S server. For example, the service pack file C041000005-01.zip is placed in the subdirectory:
Windchill RV&S Server installdir/server/servicepacks/4.10.0
The server’s patch distribution utility then automatically distributes the service pack to connecting clients.
