Lineage Tab

The Lineage tab shows the BRANCHES, LABELS, VERSIONS, and BASELINE in a single tab. You can view the branching details like BRANCHED DATE and BRANCHED BY or version details like the VERSIONED ITEM and DATE in the same tab.

By default, the sections are expanded in the Lineage tab. You can collapse the sections, as required. You can sort and filter the data available in the different sections and use the Actions column to open the item in DocStudio or in the Item View. You can hover over the BRANCHED FROM column in the BRANCHES section to open the parent item’s as of view at the time of branching.

• The Lineage tab is available for items enabled either for labeling or branching, or versioning.

• The sections in the Lineage tab are shown depending on the type definition. For example, if a type definition is enabled only for branches and not for baseline or labels and versions, then the Lineage tab shows only the Branches section.

• For process items:

◦ If the type definition is enabled for branching, the BRANCHES section is shown with a message as “No Rows To Show”.

◦ If the type definition is not enabled for branching, the BRANCHES section is not shown.
