Information about document locks is shown in the following places in the Windchill RV&S client GUI:
• Items view and Relationships view:
◦ Documents display the appropriate lock icon in the row header.
◦ Content items display the appropriate lock icon in the row header when you select the item. When a content item is not selected, no icon appears.
• Item Details view:
◦ The item header for all items (documents and content items) displays the appropriate lock or lock required icon.
◦ The item header for locked documents (or content items belonging to a locked document) displays who locked the document and what user or group can modify that document.
• Document view:
◦ The tab title displays the appropriate lock icon.
◦ In the outline pane, the row header for documents always displays the appropriate lock or lock required icon.
◦ In the outline pane, the row header for content items only displays the appropriate lock or lock required icon when you select the item. When a content item is not selected, no icon appears.
◦ In the outline pane, the root of an included document always displays the appropriate lock or lock required icon.
◦ In the content pane, the row header for content items only displays the appropriate lock or lock required icon when the item is selected.
◦ The virtual row displays the appropriate lock or lock required icon in the same manner as a content item. That is, the row header only displays the icon when the virtual row is selected.
In the Web interface, the only lock information available is in the item header of a locked document which identifies the user who locked the document and what user or group can modify it. No icons are displayed.
