Project Files
Project files (*.pj) are virtual files that represent the project. As of Integrity 10.8 and later, there are no project files in the Sandbox directories. Project information is stored in a client-side database in the .mks directory of the system on which the Windchill RV&S Client is installed. The location of the .mks directory is specified by the MKS_IC_INSTANCE_DIR environment variable. By default, on Windows the .mks directory can be located in the home directory of the user.

A Windchill RV&S user’s .mks directory must have sufficient space available to fit three copies of the client-side database. The amount of space needed depends on how many Sandboxes the user has, and a minimum of 50 MB available space is recommended.

Configuration options for project files are sometimes called attributes. You can set your own attributes as well as those predefined as options. You can set these attributes from the GUI, Web, or CLI.
From a Project or Sandbox window in the GUI, you can add or remove configuration options by selecting > > or > > and choosing Attributes.
From an open project in the Web interface, you can add or remove configuration options by selecting > > and choosing Attributes.
From the CLI, use the si addprojectattr and si ropprojectattr commands to add or remove configuration options.
