Windchill RV&S uses a database to store data collected while using Windchill RV&S, including version control information (revisions and project information). This same database also stores security, configuration, and administrative information for: Workflows and Documents, Configuration Management, and the Windchill RV&S server.
* 
Each Windchill RV&S server requires its own dedicated database instance. Multiple Windchill RV&S servers sharing a single database instance is not a supported configuration.
