Editing Properties of a Cross-cutting Perspective
You can edit the basic details and permissions of the cross-cutting perspective. You can also share the cross-cutting perspective with other users and select the columns required in the cross-cutting perspective.
To edit the cross-cutting perspective:
1. On the Home Page of the Refreshed Web Interface, click Cross-cutting Perspectives.
2. Click the ID of the cross-cutting perspective to access the cross-cutting perspective page.
3. From the Edit list on the right side of the page, select Properties.
The Edit Properties window opens. Use options on the Overview, Shared WithPermissions, and Column Manager tabs for editing the cross-cutting perspective.

You cannot assign permissions and share the cross-cutting perspective with other users if you do not have edit permissions. In such cases, the Shared With and Permissions tabs are disabled.
Overview Tab
To edit the basic details:
1. Update the existing name and description of the cross-cutting perspective.
2. Click Save.
Shared With Tab
Use options on this tab to share the cross-cutting perspective with one or more users.
To share the cross-cutting perspective:
1. Type a user name or full name in the Search box.
A minimum of three characters are required for the user name or full name.
2. Press ENTER or click the Search icon.
A list of users matching the search criteria are displayed in the Available list. A maximum of 200 users are displayed at a time.

Users from the Workflow and Documents domain only are listed.
Alternatively, type the user name and select the Exact Search checkbox.
3. To share the cross-cutting perspective with one or more users, select the users in the Available list and click to move to the Selected list.
To share the cross-cutting perspective with all available users, click to move to the Selected list.
4. To unshare the cross-cutting perspective with one or more users, select the users in the Selected list, and click to move back to the Available list.
To unshare the cross-cutting perspective with all selected users, click to move back to the Available list.
5. Click Save.

If you have shared the cross-cutting perspective with a user on the Shared With tab and changed the permission of the user on the Permissions tab, revisiting the Shared With tab resets the permission of this user to the default or previous value. Hence, when you share the cross-cutting perspective with a user and update the permissions, ensure that you save the changes on the Permissions tab.
Permissions Tab
On this tab, users with whom the cross-cutting perspective is shared with are listed.
To assign view or edit permissions for the cross-cutting perspective that you are currently editing:
1. Select View or Edit for the required user to assign view or edit permissions to the cross-cutting perspective.
A user with edit permissions can edit the basic details, reorder columns, and edit the structure of the cross-cutting perspective.
2. To remove sharing for a user, click .
A strikethrough appears indicating that the cross-cutting perspective is no longer shared with the user.
3. Click Save.
The user is no longer listed on the Permissions tab and, also in the Selected list on the Shared With tab.

A user who has been assigned edit permissions cannot share the cross-cutting perspective with other users or edit permissions for other users. The Shared With and Permissions tabs are disabled for this user.
Column Manager Tab
Use options on this tab to select the columns that you require in the cross-cutting perspective. You can also change the order of the selected columns.
The Available list on this tab displays the visible fields of content types in the cross-cutting perspective.
The icons adjacent to a column indicate the following:
indicates that the field is present in a single content type.
indicates that the field is present in multiple content types. The count of content types that contain this field is also displayed. Clicking this content count lists the content types containing the field. For example, the count 2 indicates the field is present in two content types.
To display the required columns for the cross-cutting perspective:
1. Select one or more fields in the Available list and click to move the fields to the Selected list.
The fields in the Selected list are added as columns in the cross-cutting perspective.
To move all fields from the to the Available list to the Selected list, click .
2. To move one or more fields back to the Available list, click .
To move all the fields back to the Available list, click .
3. Click Save.
To reorder the columns in the cross-cutting perspective:
1. Select one or more columns in the Selected list and click or to move the selected columns one level above or one level below the list respectively.
2. Select one or more columns in the Selected list and click or to move the selected columns directly to the end of the list or top of the list.
3. Click Save.

Reordering of the columns is reflected in the cross-cutting perspective view in the following cases:
When you move columns between the Available and Selected lists in the Column Manager tab.
When you move columns between the Available and Selected lists in the Column Manager tab and reorder after the Move operation.
Reordering of the columns is not reflected in the cross-cutting perspective view when you change the order of columns in the Selected list only without moving the columns between the two lists.
