Creating a New Cross-cutting Perspective
To create a new cross-cutting perspective:
1. Open a document in DocStudio and select the contents that you want to add to the cross-cutting perspective.
*
You can create a cross-cutting perspective only when the document is not being edited.
Default fields that are part of the document type in DocStudio View are included as columns in the cross-cutting perspective. However, if the Type field is not a default field in DocStudio, it is still added as a column in the cross-cutting perspective.
While creating a new cross-cutting perspective or adding content to an existing cross-cutting perspective, the content selected from a asOf document gets added to the cross-cutting perspective with asOf date configuration of the document.
Inserted and included documents cannot be added to a cross-cutting perspective. However, contents from included documents are available for selection in DocStudio and can be added to a cross-cutting perspective.
2. Click Add to Cross-cutting Perspective.
A window for adding the selected items to a new or existing cross-cutting perspective opens.
3. Select New.
4. Type the name and description of the cross-cutting perspective
*
The name of the cross-cutting perspective can contain a maximum of 100 characters. The description of the cross-cutting perspective can contain a maximum of 500 characters.
5. Click Add.
A message displaying successful creation of the cross-cutting perspective with a link to it appears on the top-right corner of the page. To view the cross-cutting perspective, click the link available in the message or navigate to the Home Page.
