Inserting Special Characters (GUI and DocStudio Only)
In the Windchill RV&S client GUI, you can insert special characters in the rich content fields. Special characters include the following:
• Currency
• Text
• Quotations
• Mathematical operators
• Extended Latin characters
• Symbols
• Arrows
To insert a special character:
1. Click the location where you want to insert a special character.
2. From the
Insert list on the rich content toolbar, select
Special Character.
The Special Character window opens.
3. Select the special character.
You can also use the Text context toolbar to insert a special character.
Key Consideration
• The Windchill RV&S Rich Text Editor does not support the insertion of special characters in the Web interface. However, you can view the special characters that are copied from the GUI or from an external source like Microsoft Word and pasted in the Web interface.
