Translating States
Translations can be added for the states for the locales that are set in the localization property.
There are two ways to add the translations:
• Editing the state from the Windchill RV&S administration client
• Exporting and importing the translations
To Edit a State from the Windchill RV&S administration client

im createstate or im editstate

1. From the States view, open the Create State or Edit State window.
2. Complete the Display Name and Description fields. The string inputs are stored in the client locale.

Each state must have a unique display name. Two states cannot have the same display name.
|
3. To save your changes, click OK.
To Export and Import State Translations
The following state attributes are available for translation:
• Display Name
• Description
