Using the Admin Migration Wizard
The Windchill RV&SAdmin Migration Wizard (migration wizard) allows you to test the proposed translations thoroughly on the staging server before migrating them to the production server.
As an administrator, you can push the available localized translations along with the administrative objects for Fields, Test Result Fields, Types, and States for the attributes display name and description from the staging server to the production server. The changes are visible in the admin staging GUI.
*
You can push the translations from the staging server to the production server. However, you cannot choose which translations are migrated. Migration is independent of the value set in the mksis.im.adminObjectConfigurationLocales property, and can also be done when the property is disabled on the production server.
For example, consider that in the above property, the locale codes are set for the English, German, and Japanese (en;de;ja) locales, and a field exists that has translations for the English, German, Japanese, and French locales. The Admin Migration Wizard migrates all of the field translations from the staging server to the production server, including the French locale.
The history for the Display Name and Description attributes is updated with the localization-related changes on the production server.
In the Admin Migration Wizard window, if an administrative object is selected, then all the translations that are available for migration to the production server for the Display Name and Description attributes are visible.
