Translating Types
Translations can be added for the types for the locales set in the localization property.
There are two ways to add the translations:
• Editing the type from the Windchill RV&S administration client
• Exporting and importing translations
To Edit a Type from the Windchill RV&S administration client

im createtype or im edittype

1. From the Types view, open the Create Type or Edit Type window.
2. Complete the Display Name and Description fields. The string inputs are stored in the client locale.

Each type must have a unique display name. Two types cannot have the same display name.
|
3. To save your changes, click OK.
To Export and Import Type Translations
The following type attributes are available for translation:
• Display Name
• Description
