Installing Windchill RV&S Agent
One instance of the Windchill RV&S Agent must be installed on each remote machine for the purpose of automated test execution. You can install the Windchill RV&S Agent from the DVD as a silent install or GUI install.

Before performing a new installation of the Windchill RV&S Agent, ensure your system has sufficient disk space and memory. The installation program does not report an error when your system is running out of disk space.

On Windows, only users with system administrator privileges can install Windchill RV&S Agent. Insufficient privileges may cause the installation program to hang during the configuration.
On Linux, the person performing the installation must have sufficient privileges to run the files.

The Windchill RV&S DVD includes everything you need to install the Windchill RV&S Agent, including the mksagent.properties application file. You have the option of installing Windchill RV&S Agent from the DVD browser, or by running mksagent.exe or mksagent.bin (based on your platform) located in the ../installs/agent/ directory on the Windchill RV&S DVD.
