Status indicator for User, Group, and Project fields
In the Item View, user, group, and project fields are indicated with the following icons along with a label for the active and inactive status. The status that is displayed depends on the state of the Active option in the Windchill RV&S Administration Client GUI:
• : The status of a user, group, or project is considered active when connected to
Windchill RV&S. The status is shown as active in the Item View when an Administrator selects the check box for the
Active option while creating users, groups, or projects, or editing their details. By default, the check box is selected.
• : The status of a user, group, or project is considered inactive when there is no connection to
Windchill RV&S. The status is shown as inactive in the Item View when an Administrator clears the check box for the
Active option while creating users, groups, or projects, or editing their details.
For more details, see the topic
Creating Users.
A tooltip indicating the status of a user is displayed when you hover the mouse pointer over the user field. If the full name of the user is provided in the Full Name field, the tooltip shows the full name of the user, the username in parentheses, and the status in square brackets. If the full name is not provided, the tooltip shows the username with the status in square brackets.
For a multi-valued user field appearing in a table, the tooltip shows the status of all the users in a single line. If a multi-valued user field appears in a tile, the tooltip shows the status of individual users on separate lines.
