Description
im serveralerts displays Windchill RV&S Server alert messages for all servers that you are currently connected to. The alert message displays who sent the message, the server it came from, when it was sent, and the message. If you are not connected to any servers, a message informs you that there are no alert messages. Alert messages are sent by your administrator and are useful for notifying users about important information, such as an impending server upgrade in which the server will be shut down.
Note the following:
In the Web interface, the date displayed for an alert message is the server’s date, time, and time zone. In the GUI and CLI, the date displayed for an alert message is the client’s date, time, and time zone.
To avoid manually checking alert messages from the command line, launch the alert messages dialog box from the command line by specifying -g or --gui and keep the dialog box open. The dialog box automatically refreshes to display new alert messages.
