Windchill RV&S Client Verification of Checksums
Windchill RV&S client functionality includes client-side verification of revision checksums. If the Windchill RV&S administrator has enabled checksum verification on the Windchill RV&S server, then the Windchill RV&S client automatically verifies the checksum on incoming revision data from the server.
The verification is performed when fetching revisions during the following operations:
• creating a Sandbox
• resynchronizing a Sandbox
• checking out from a Sandbox
• checking out from a project
• differencing revisions
• viewing revision contents
Checksum verification ensures data integrity between the Windchill RV&S server and the client. If no errors are found during the verification, the operation completes successfully.

If a checksum error is found, a message is displayed and the revision is not brought into your Sandbox. If you encounter a checksum error during your operation, contact your Windchill RV&S administrator for further directions.
