Installation Prerequisites
Windchill REST Services has its independent release cycle. It is bundled with the Windchill main release and Windchill critical patch set (CPS) releases. A WRS maintenance release is bundled with the Windchill CPS releases.
The Windchill REST Services Compatibility Matrix lists the Windchill releases and versions of Windchill REST Services included with the Windchill releases. To obtain a copy of the latest software compatibility matrix, refer to the following URL:
The URL directs you to the PTC Online Support webpage of reference documents. For the software compatibility matrix document, select the document type as Matrices when specifying the search criteria in the Reference Documents section.

Windchill REST Services Release Matrix, which comprises the product calendar and information about software compatibility between the Windchill releases and a WRS version, see the
Release Advisor page.
For the Windchill REST Services Release Matrix, specify the following search criteria when you log in to the Release Advisor:
1. From the Product Family dropdown menu, select Windchill.
2. From the Product dropdown menu, select Windchill REST Services.
3. From the Version dropdown menu, select the release number for which you want to check the compatibility between the Windchill and WRS releases.
4. Click Add. The Windchill REST Services product and its selected version are displayed in the Primary Selection section.
5. Click Next in the lower right corner of the page.
6. To view the Release Matrix, click the “Windchill REST Services <version>” link listed in the Release Matrix column of the Primary Product table.
