Summary of Changes for Windchill REST Services 2.3
Changes in Windchill REST Services .2.3 are described in this section.
General Capabilities
Enhancements to GetWindchillMetaInfo() to get the metadata of child entities along with the parent entities.
Ability to create domain specific canonical link for entities. In addition to Parts and Documents, MPMLink objects have also been configured as “Changeables” for canonical links.
Support for $count on operations.
Supported operations annotation are added to entity sets.
New Domains Added
The following new domains have been added to Windchill REST Services 2.3.
PTC Reporting Domain (Reporting)—Provides access to the reporting and query capabilities of Windchill.
PTC BOM Transformation Domain (BomTransformation)—Provides access to the Extended Data management capabilities of Windchill including Department Data management. For the 2.3 release this domain has the following capabilities:
Ability to read single and multiple Extended Data objects.
Ability to check-out, undo check-out, check-in and set the state of extended data objects.
Ability to read single and multiple Department Data objects.
Ability to read effectivity information for a given Department Data OID.
Ability to create Department Data objects.
Ability to check-out, undo check-out, check-in and set the state of Department Data objects.
Ability to assign one or more Plants for a given set of Parts with and without change information.
Ability to fetch Made From part information for a given collection of Part OIDs and inline navigation criteria.
Ability to fetch Made From part information for a given collection of Part OIDs and a navigation criteria OID.
Ability to get Equivalence Link information along with Equivalence Network information for a single Part OID and for a collection of Part OIDs.
Updates to the Manufacturing Process Management (MfgProcMgmt) Domain
The following significant changes were made to the Manufacturing Process Management domain:
Ability to create multiple Process Material, Skill, Tooling, Work Centers, and SCC both with and without change context.
Ability to read effectivity set on Process Material, Skill, Tooling, Work Centers, and SCCs.
Provide ability to read Security Labels on Process Material, Skill, Tooling, Work Centers, and SCCs.
Provide ability to read Option Sets associated with Process Material, Skill, Tooling, and Work Centers.
Provide the ability to read raw materials and raw material link attributes for a finished Part ID and navigation criteria. These actions can be performed on a single object or on multiple objects.
Updates to the Product Management Domain
The following are the updates to the Product Management domain:
Ability to navigate to standalone Variant Specification and read Attributes on Variant Specification and Module Variant Information Link.
Updates to the PTC Effectivity Management Domain
Ability to set effectivities on multiple effectivity managed objects.
Updates to the Change Management Domain
The following are the significant changes that were made to the Change Management Domain:
Ability to navigate from one or more changeable to the primary Change Object using the ResultedByChangeObjects navigation.
Ability to navigate from one or more Changeable Object to Change Notices using the UnincorporatedBy navigation.
Ability to navigate from one or more Changeable Object to Change Notices using the AffectedBy navigation.
Ability to create change notices with multiple change tasks and affected objects.
Ability to assign a sequence when editing a change task.
QMS Capability Added
The CAPA, NC, and Audit domains have added the subtypeable and softattributable feature.
