Introduction
This document explains how to create Windchill Requirements Connector administration project with “Default” scope or “user defined” scopes and using the database configuration to connect to the Windchill Requirements Connector Global Replication project.
You can create Windchill Requirements Connector administration project using the following database configuration:
• Oracle
• PostgreSQL
In order to handle different replication data within a database the concept of scope has been introduced. A scope contains a set of replication data and can be compared to a namespace. Everybody is working on the same exchanges has to be in the same scope. However, the user can use a different scope (in order to exchange variants or working in different projects). When you connect to a database the 'default' scope is available by default.

A user can create a new scope that is exclusive for one project. You cannot work with different scopes on the same project.
