Improved Assembly Update using Workspace Save As with Update Parents

Description
In the latest Windchill Workgroup Manager update, you no longer need to reopen an assembly in SOLIDWORKS after performing workspace Save As on its child objects with the Update Parents action.
In the Update Parents step, click Finish to view a list of conflicts. In the Conflicts window, select Close and Update and click OK to update the assembly without reopening it.

Limitations:
• To avoid losing any data, it is essential to perform Save As with the Update Parents action before making any modifications.
For example, any changes made to a child object are not saved if you first modify it in SOLIDWORKS, and then perform Save As with Update Parents.
• If the parent assembly is opened in the Lightweight mode, you must reopen it in the Full mode to ensure the assembly updates with the saved-as child.
