Managing Top Level Instances

Benefit
Enables you to choose and open one of the related instances when you open a content file from Windchill.
Additional Details
A new dialog box is added in the Windchill Workgroup Manager for Creo Elements/Direct Modeling to list the related instances of the selected content file. You can view this dialog box in two workflows:
• Open from Windchill action in Creo Elements/Direct Modeling
• Open in CAD tool action in Windchill Workspace or Commonspace
To enable the dialog box, a new preference is introduced in the wgmclient.ini file:

Controls display of related top-level instances of Creo Elements/Direct Modeling while opening the content file. You can select the required top-level instance from the dialog box to open it or click Cancel to open the content file only.
 
You can set the preference Date.Type.Parameter.Format=%dd-%Mmm-%yy %Hh:%mi:%ss in the wgmclient.ini file to show the last modified details in the dialog-box.
• Yes – Displays top-level instances of a content file in a dialog box when opening the content file and enables you to select an instance from the dialog box.
• No (Default) – Does not open the dialog box with the top-level instance while opening the content file.
