You can configure Windchill to use the revise server-side collector preferences with the Revise and check out action from the CAD tool. Business rules can be enforced to not only revise the CAD Document in the CAD session; but also to revise other related CAD documents and parts.

A new preference Collection Preferences Not Used in Quick User Interface has been introduced to control the revise collector preferences used for revise actions without user interface like Revise and check out from within a CAD tool. The preferences selected in the Collection Preferences Not Used in Quick User Interface preference are not considered while revising. This preference is accessed from Preference Management > Revise > Collector > Collection Preferences Not Used in Quick User Interface.

With the default settings, you may see some differences in how revise and check out behaves in the CAD tool since additional collector preferences are honored. Modify this preference if you do not wish to experience any changes.
