Running the AddColumns Tool
Source Windchill Version 10.2 M030, 11.0
If the source system is Windchill version 10.2 M030, 11.0 (any release), the following steps must always be performed during upgrade:
1. Copy the AddColumnsSchema.xml file from the source system to the target system. The file is located at the following path on the source system and must be copied to the same path on the target system: <Windchill>\conf\type\
2. On the target system, open a Windchill shell.
3. Run the following command: AddColumns -deploy

Source Windchill Version 10.2 F000, M010 or M020
If the source system is Windchill version 10.2 release F000, M010, or M020 and has been customized by adding columns to types, or if SIS components are installed on the source system, the AddColumns.txt file exists with the details of the added columns or SIS components. These settings must be incorporated into the target system using the following procedure:
1. Copy the AddColumns.txt file from the source system to the target system. The file is located at the following path on the source system and must be copied to the same path on the target system: <Windchill>\installer\ext\Custom

If the AddColumns.txt file does not exist, skip this procedure.
2. On the target system, open a Windchill shell.
3. Run the following command: AddColumns -deploy
