Before Using the PTC Solution Installer
Before launching the PSI ensure that you are well prepared to complete the installation process. At a minimum you need to:
• Setting the appropriate permission levels to complete installation
• Setting the installation directory on Windows to ensure that the server can run as a Window service
• Selecting an appropriate staging directory
• Disabling security features that may prevent the PSI from properly installing all solutions or optional products
• Configuring Windchill for Arbortext PE
• Preparing the Enterprise LDAP for Data Load
• Preparing the Enterprise LDAP Active Directory
• Configuring for IPv6 Compliance
• Specifying UNIX Settings
• Verifying Server Time and Date
• Where and how you are going to use your staging directory
