Classifying Parts in Windchill
You create a classified part using the same process you use to create a new part. For more information, see
Creating a New Part.
Before a user can create a classified part, an administrator must create a binding attribute and add it to the object type attributes. Ensure the binding attribute is included in the
Create New layout. For more information, see
Classification Binding Attributes.
The binding attribute name appears in the New Part window. When a user selects a classification node, the window updates to add the Set Classification Attributes step:
