Product Family management is included in the Platform Structures module. The packaging and delivery of the Product Family features is possible with Platform Structures licensing. The Product Family capabilities are available to you only when:

This extends the capabilities associated with the Platform Structures License profile, such as Product Model, Matrix Editor, Variant Baseline, and so on. For more information, see Windchill License Groups. The Platform Structure License Profile enables all the Product Family profile actions for product and library containers. The system displays or hides the Product Family capabilities based on the user membership to standard and license profiles.
