Actions to Exchange Objects
Once the table has been populated with objects, you can use the following actions to refine what objects should be included in the operation. For a detailed description of the differences between each share type, see Three Types of Shared Access. For information on default ad hoc access control rules for shared objects, see Setting Access Control on a Shared Object.
Action
Description
Share
The object is shared to the project. Project members have read-only access to the object.
PDM Check-out
The object is checked out to the project. A project-specific version of the object is created in the project.
PDM checkout objects are locked in the source context, but can be modified in the project and later sent back to their original context.
Copy
The document is copied as a new object (similar to a Save As action).
This action is only enabled for documents.
Keep Checked Out
The object is sent to PDM and then checked out again to the project.

PDM Checkin
The object is sent to PDM and then shared back to the project.
