Lifecycle of Data Interchange Objects
You can manage the lifecycle of Data Dispatch Notes (DDN) and Data Module Lists (DML) in your information structure.
The basic lifecycle of a DDN and a DML is:
Work in ProgressReady for PackagingDelivered.
Actions that can be carried out at each stage of the lifecycle are detailed in this table:

This state is assigned automatically when the DDN or DML is imported into the product.

Using these actions, the DDN and DML can be passed through an edit and review workflow as necessary:
Work in Progress (new) — Ready for PackagingWork in Progress (rework) — Ready for PackagingDelivered.
If you do not want to submit the DDN or DML to any content editing, you can create it at workflow state Ready for Packaging and bypass the Work in Progress state.

The Version and In Work values of a DDN or DML remain the same throughout its lifecycle.
