The List of Representation File Extension Types feature allows you to navigate to a Representation, and download content associated with that Representation. From the Representation listing, you can select a link to the files associated with that Representation, of specific file extensions that you specify. After the link selection, the browser downloads and launches the content, or you can save the content to a desired location.

This functionality is available from the Representations/Annotations tab, as well as from the Clipboard.

These file extension types are controlled by the List Representation File Extension Types preference, which allows you to specify the file type extensions you want to see. The default for this preference is PDF.This preference can be set at the Organization or Site level, and also as a user preference.

In addition, the webpage.alwaysexcludelistrepfiletypes property (in wvs.properties.xconf) can be used to prevent display of certain file types. This property provides an exclusion list of file types that, once defined, will not show up as available content links in the list of representation file extension types. Typically, this property’s values will be those file extensions you would not want displayed, such as Creo View files, which can be opened from the thumbnail.

The out-of-the-box value of the webpage.alwaysexcludelistrepfiletypes property is OL PVS PVP PVM PVT PVA THUMBNAIL THUMBNAIL_SMALL. This value is editable and space-delimited.
