Basic Administration > Supporting Collaboration > Workflow Administration > Workflow Tools > Workflow Template Administration > Workflow Template Editor > Activity and Process Properties > Activity Tab > Execution Options Tab

Execution Options Tab
The Execution Options tab allows you to specify the consequences of an error, including who is notified.
The “responsible role” is the user selected in the Responsible Role field under the General tab.
Notify the responsible role if there is an error
Send an email to the responsible role if an unexpected error occurs during execution of the activity.
Notify the responsible role on abort
Send an email to the responsible role if the activity aborts due to a fatal error.
Abort if there is an error
Aborts the activity if an unexpected error occurs during its execution.
*
If the activity node is aborted, and the process includes linked activity nodes that depend on its completion, the linked activities cannot start.
Aborted activities can be restarted using the workflow process manager.
Abort the parent process (if any) on abort
Aborts the parent workflow process if the activity node aborts due to any fatal error.
Record variable changes
Records variable values entered by an individual assignee as part of the workflow history.
*
This applies only to variables that are displayed in an activity and are editable by an assignee for the activity. These values are captured during workflow execution for each activity instance and for every time the activity is executed. The value of this property is defined on a per-activity basis.
Record task reassignment
Keeps a record of task reassignments associated with each task.
When you select this option, a record of the original assignee, the new assignee, the reason for reassignment, and the reassignment date is saved. These values are captured during workflow execution for each activity instance and for every time the activity is executed.
Record voting
If routing is set up, you can record the routing votes made by each participant as part of the workflow history.
Ignore unresolved role
When selected, any unresolved roles are ignored unless required.
If you do not select this option, then a task is assigned to the responsible role.
