Importing Windchill License
You can import the Windchill license using one of the following options:
• Retrieve license online — Use this option to activate your license key automatically. For more information, see the section “Retrieving license online”.
• Import license from a file — Use this option to initiate the process of activating your license key manually. For more information, see the section “Importing license from a File”.

Retrieving license online
Use this option to activate your license key automatically. Specify the details in the following fields. All fields are required
• PTC Username — Enter your PTC username.
• PTC Password — Enter your PTC password.
• License Path — Specify the location where you want to store the license. By default, license is stored in trusted storage at WT_HOME/conf/licensing in an encrypted format. The wt.licenseusage.licensepath property in wt.properties file allows the user to change the license path. The license path can be changed after installation.
Import license from a file
Use this option to initiate the process of activating your license key manually through License Management utility after installation. Specify the details in the following field:
License Path — Specify the location where you want to store the license. By default, license is stored in trusted storage at WT_HOME/conf/licensing in an encrypted format. The wt.licenseusage.licensepath property in wt.properties file allows the user to change the license path. The license path can be changed after installation.
| In the case of cluster environment, store the license key at common location such as in the partition which is available to all the nodes in the network. |
