In addition to the object types that are provided out of the box, object types can have subtypes. Your Windchill solution provides some document subtypes as part of its installation. Additionally, Windchill PDMLink and Servigistics Arbortext Content Manager provide subtypes for dynamic documents and bursting configuration files that are used when authoring document content through the Windchill connection to Servigistics Arbortext Editor.

If your site needs additional types, you can create specific subtypes from within the site or an organization context using the Type and Attribute Management utility.
