Context Templates Table Information
The templates available when you select one of the following options from the table view drop-down list are displayed in similar Templates tables:
Organization Templates (Servigistics Arbortext Content Manager or Windchill PDMLink only)
Product Templates (Servigistics Arbortext Content Manager or Windchill PDMLink only)
Library Templates (Servigistics Arbortext Content Manager or Windchill PDMLink only)
Project Templates (Windchill ProjectLink only)
Program Templates (Windchill ProjectLink only)
These templates are considered context templates.
Select one of these views and the Templates table refreshes, displaying all context templates of the specified view that are available from the current context.
The columns in the table provide the pertinent information about the context templates, including:
Whether the template is visible in the current context.
Whether the template is enabled.
The date last modified and the user who has the template checked out (if it is checked out).
The context in which the template was created. Only those who have administrative privileges in the context listed can update the template. This column does not appear in the site Templates table. All templates displayed in the site Templates table were created under the site context.
Use the show icon and the hide icon to determine the visibility of the templates in the current context.
Use the new template icon to create a new context template.
Use the import template icon to import a template that was exported from another context.
You can use following actions, which are listed in the right-click actions menu for each row in the table, to perform an action on an individual context template.
Action
Description
View Information
Displays the information about the template.
Edit
Allows you to edit the name, description, or enabled status of the template and to upload an updated context ZIP file that contains an updated the business XML, context DTD, and any content files that are referenced in the business XML. This action is only available in the context where the template was created.

Download
Allows you to download a context ZIP file containing the business XML, context DTD, and any content files (such as document templates) that are part of the template. Use a modified version of this ZIP file when you update a context template. For more information, see Editing Context Templates.
Disable
Allows you to make the template unavailable for use. This action is only available if the template is enabled. For more information, see Enabling or Disabling a Context Template.
Enable
Allows you to make the template available for use. This action is only available if the template is disabled. Enabling or Disabling a Context Template.
Save As
Allows you to save the current template under a new name. The saved template is stored in the context where the action was performed.
For example, if you are viewing the Templates table within an organization, and you perform a Save As action on a Template that resides in the site context, the saved template is stored in the organization.

Delete
Allows you to delete the template. You are prompted to confirm that you want to delete the template. This action is only available in the context where the template was created. For more information, see Deleting Templates.
Check Out
Marks the template as checked-out. This means that others cannot check out or update the template.
Using this action does not download the context ZIP file. Use the Download action to download this file.
This action is only available in the context where the template was created, and if the template is currently checked in.

Check In
Allows you to save changes made to a context ZIP file and releases your control of the template so that others can check it out.
If you enable the template as part of the check in, then the earlier version is disabled (if it was enabled). This action is only available in the context where the template was created, and if the template is currently checked out.

Undo Checkout
Releases your control over the template without saving any changes you made.
This action is only available in the context where the template was created, and if the template is currently checked out.

Show
Allows you to make the template visible to users in the current context. This action is only available if the template is hidden. For more information, see Filtering the Visibility of Templates.
Hide
Allows you to hide the template from use in the current context. This action is only available if the template is visible. For more information, see Filtering the Visibility of Templates.
