You can configure multiple password policies in Windchill Directory Server. Each policy can be associated with a group of users. Out of the box, Windchill Directory Server provides the default password policy that can be used for all users.

By default, the Windchill Directory Server is set up to allow users to modify their own password; however, the Windchill interface for modifying passwords is not enabled by default. The following sections provide example commands that you can study to determine how to configure your password policies. The example dsconfg commands assume the following:
