Benefit
PTC HTTP Server (powered by Apache) now uses Apache HTTP Server 2.4. PTC Embedded Servlet Engine (powered by Apache) now uses Apache Tomcat 8. Oracle iPlanet, also known in previous releases as Sun Java System Web Server (SJSWS), and Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) 32-bit are no longer supported with Windchill.

PTC HTTP Server (powered by Apache) now utilizes Apache HTTP Server 2.4, the most current version.

HP-UX systems must still use Apache HTTP Server 2.2.

PTC Embedded Servlet Engine (powered by Apache) now utilizes Apache Tomcat 8. Additional steps are required to configure the embedded servlet engine to respond to remote hosts.

All new and upgraded installations of Windchill are now configured with the PTC HTTP Server. The previous ability to reconfigure an installation to use Oracle iPlanet or the 32-bit version of Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) is no longer present.
