Prior to Windchill 11.0, a workspace refresh was executed at the end of each PDM action. This added a performance penalty to PDM actions that scaled with the number of objects in the workspace. In Windchill 11.0, the workspace refresh is postponed to the Windchill Workgroup Manager client idle period after completion of a PDM action. The workspace refresh performance benefits from the featured object display, which refreshes only those objects that are shown in the current view.
