Benefit
The Update Required notification for parts lists associated with an SBOM can be issued only after certain changes to the SBOM.
Additional Details
When changes to an SBOM have been made and checked in, any parts lists that are associated with the BOM display an Update Required flag.
You can set the Service Parts preference Automatic Update Notification to control when the notifications are generated:
• Yes (default)—The Update Required status is assigned to all parts lists associated with an SBOM after any change to the SBOM is made.
• No—Changes to the root node of the SBOM are ignored. A parts list associated with the SBOM will not be marked as Update Required following a change to the root node of the SBOM.
