Windchill MPMLink: Associative Structure Browser BOM Transformation Shortcuts
Product: Windchill MPMLink
Release: 11.0 M030
Benefit
Several shortcut features have been implemented for the Manufacturing Associative Part Structure browser (MAPSB) and the Service Associative Part Structure browser (SAPSB). These features streamline the speed and efficiency of actions related to eBOM to mBOM transformations. For example, when adding new downstream parts.
Additional Details
In the upstream structure tree, you can now multi-select source objects from single or multiple parent nodes, drag (copy) them to the downstream structure tree, and drop (paste) them as children under a valid target node. This shortcut also works when dragging objects within the same structure tree.
The behavior of the Cut, Copy, and Paste actions have been enhanced to carry forward positioning and equivalent link information for selected objects.
You can create custom Windchill delegates to define company-specific drop-down menu object lists and default values for certain attributes in structure transformation action dialog boxes.
You can now split usage links and dispatch quantities/occurrences between the existing usage link and a newly created one.
The positioning information of a downstream part occurrence can now be updated based on the position of its upstream equivalent.
You can now create an extension (a template) of an existing downstream structure in a different view without having to change part numbers. This is possible for a single structure or for multiple structures.
