Benefit
Round trip mapping of all types of CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE parameters (string, integer, boolean, real number, date) to Windchill is now supported for Windchill Workgroup Manager for CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE. This includes CATIA default parameters for mass properties.
Additional Details
• • Both implicit property-to-attribute mapping and explicit property-to-attribute mapping are supported.
• • In order to map a CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE property to Windchill, the custom property must be created in ENOVIA and a Windchill attribute must be created.
• The following mass properties with unit values are mapped to Windchill.
◦ Mass
◦ Volume
◦ Surface area
◦ Center of gravity
• For mass properties, either declared properties or calculated properties can be mapped to Windchill.
• CAD document attribute values can be propagated to the attributes of the associated WTPart.
• An attribute that is edited in the CAD document is propagated back to the parameter of the CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE design object. However, calculated mass properties are not propagated to CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE design objects.
