Diagnosing a Stalled Job
This function helps you diagnose the status of a long-running job that has not yet completed.
1. From the Jobs List page, select Running from the - Pick a View - drop-down list. The system displays a list of jobs that are currently running.
2. If the job is running but has not yet completed, it is waiting for resources. Locate the jobs with “In Progress” status, and click the Information icon of the job you want to diagnose.
3. From the menu, select Diagnose. The diagnosis of the running job appears in a temporary message at the top of the screen. Hover over the message to keep it visible, and make a note of the message contents to determine the execution step (message-oriented middleware, the adapter, or Windchill). This will tell the system where to start looking. If the job has failed, it will appear as such on the event console.
